Over 7000 Laser Parts Shipped – In Just Over 2 Weeks of Receiving Order

Recently Astro Engineering was contacted for a large order of laser and formed parts that needed to be shipped in a tight time frame. The customer supplied the prints for the job which consisted of nearly 8000 parts made of 16 gauge mild steel. There were 8 different parts needed, with quantities ranging from 40 to 2000 parts of each.

For this large laser job, the auto load/unload system on the laser was well utilized. Several press brakes were used to complete all of the forming. At the customer’s request, we also removed the laser scale from all edges to ensure good success of the parts being powder coated. Our staff did a great job at keeping it moving quickly and to spec.

Within 2 weeks of receiving the order, we began shipping. It was 5 truckloads of outgoing product finished in less than 3 weeks of receiving the order. 100% of the parts were correct and accepted.
